Every improviser knows the feeling: disconnected, slow, lost in thought, swirling cycles of self-criticism. The nightmare of being stuck “in your head.” In this workshop, instructor Michell Manar will help you unpack practices to help break out of your mind-prison by using a tool that is always available to you -- your body.
Mitchell Manar is a theater creator, improv teacher, and researcher currently living in St Louis, Missouri. His improv journey began in 2012 taking classes at the Improv Shop in St Louis, and thereafter he was hooked. He was education coordinator and professional company member at Atlas Improv in Madison, Wisconsin for 3 years, and has also worked or performed in St Louis, Chicago, North Carolina, and Oklahoma City. He just finished a certificate in physical theater at Dell’Arte International, and is excited about exploring body-focused approaches to improv of all kinds.
The suggested price for this workshop is $15 or pay-what-you-can (cash only). No advance registration is needed
