Madison's premier comedy showcase is back!
Capitol Comedy Hour is a “triple-feature” showcase: three or four great comics from around the region performing longer sets than the typical showcase - from 15 to 30 minutes. If you're looking to have a laugh-packed Friday night, look no further. See you there!
$5 at the door.
Yes, Brook is a pretty boy, but he’s also pretty damn funny!
Brook was homeschooled in a small Wisconsin town in an ultraconservative Christian family. By the time he graduated college, however, his Walter White-like transformation was complete. And therein lies the source of his comedy. With good-natured candor, he talks about the knowledge deficit homeschooling left him with (“I don’t understand how wind works.”), the sexual miscues stemming from a religious upbringing (“My first girlfriend and I did everything butt-sex.”), and a generous helping of good old-fashioned debauchery.
Brook hosts the monthly comedy show Rip-Off.
Bill lives in Chicago and performs in clubs all around the midwest. Bill is a regular at the Laugh Factory. According to the Chicago Tribune, "Comedian Bill Gevirtz is cranking out sly one-liners like he’s wielding a machine gun full of them." Bill can be seen performing all around Chicago and the midwest.
Gena Gephart lives in Chicago, IL where she pursues writing, stand up, and sketch comedy. Gena’s sharp brand of comedy reflects her quirky, feminist perspective and has been called “awkward in a good way” by several drunk bachelorettes. She has opened for comics like Michael Che, Jen Kirkman, and Todd Barry, and has performed at the Limestone Comedy Festival. Gena produces a monthly all-lady storytelling show in Logan Square called Ladylike and contributes to Reductress and Thought Catalog. She is a cast member at the Lincoln Lodge. In her spare time, Gena enjoys sitting quietly in the dark and teaching her cat to be less fat.
