Madison's premier comedy showcase is back!
The Capitol Comedy Hour features great comics from around the region performing longer sets than the typical showcase - from 15 to 30 minutes. The Green Room at The Rigby Pub and Grill is the perfect room for great comedy: intimate yet high-energy.
If you're looking to have a laugh-packed Friday night, look no further. See you there!
A relative newcomer and rising star in the Madison comedy scene, Nina is both funny and unflinchingly raw.
Like many great comics, she draws on the tragedy in her life for her comedy. But she also has some wickedly funny insights into sex, dating, and the more prosaic side of life.
Rory is new to Madison, but his comedy is that of a seasoned pro! He has opened for Rory Scovel, Chad Daniels and Robert Kelly. He was a top-ten finisher in Madison's Funniest Comic.
A Steven's Point native, Rory is a sad, troubled man: short, balding, can't find a date. But he channels that sadness into comedy, and his soft-spoken delivery will leave you laughing uproariously!
J. Tyler Menz
J Tyler Menz is one sweet pickle. Tyler's humor draws on his experiences as an elementary school teacher, stories about his family, and his deep contempt of how painfully white he is.
He has worked with a wide range of comedians, including Tig Notaro, Neil Hamburger, and Andy Kindler, and has toured as the featured act for Christopher Titus, Todd Barry, and Steve-O (which was cool because they have matching tattoos).
In addition to performing stand up, Tyler produces and hosts many shows in the Milwaukee area and hosts the Eating It, a podcast in which comics share stories about bombing, bad sets, and shows gone wrong. He has also been seen performing at The Milwaukee Comedy Fest, Van’s Warped Tour, The 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival, The Cream City Comedy Festival, and Gilda’s Laughfest.
Tyler enjoys kale, farmers markets, his 1997 Hyundai Sonata, and reassuring people that he isn't a snitch. Seriously guys, he is not a snitch. Check him out on social media @jtylermenz.
